Molson Group British F1 Sidecar
Santander Salt FIM Sidecar World
Now in our third season running two premier sidecar championships alongside each other delivering non-stop reporting and updates on both, we are eagerly looking forward to the first action of 2022.
We all learned a great deal in 2021, in which our two series delivered top-quality racing both at home and abroad.
The organisational and management team here at RKB-F1 would like to thank all teams, spectators, and contributors for playing their parts in making the season such a success. From the pit crews working tirelessly to keep the wheels turning, to the photographers and journalists who capture and record the action as it happens, and the circuit owners and promoters who provide the platform for our show, we extend sincere thanks for a job well done.
Now it all starts again, and 2022 will be bigger, bolder, braver and more bullish than anything we have seen so far.
We will continue to bring you all the information as it happens, the up- to-date team news, all the paddock gossip, along with video links and highlights on our YouTube Channel from all the latest races.
The last weekend in October is often tricky for its weather in Portugal, and we were not disappointed. Track temperature on arrival hovered around twenty- two with an ambient of twenty. Humidity was also high with periodic rain forecast for the weekend. This cliff-hanger finale was poised to give victory to Santander Salt’s Todd Ellis and Emmanuelle Clement with their fifty-one-point advantage.
Coming many weeks after the previous round, Oschersleben was welcomed by all in the paddock, as it was effectively a sidecar festival for many other classes. There were outfits of all shapes and sizes, along with many names from the past and present.
The final race weekend of the British Superbike calendar sported a full entry of over twenty sidecars to see the season out. Friday free practice took place in fine weather conditions, with qualifying later in the day. With double points on offer over the two races, there wasstill an opportunity for the title to go one of three ways.
